WAKE… RUN…. FEAST! Join us for the 11th Annual University City Turkey Trot! This awesome race is held at 3024 Prosperity Church Road in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thanksgiving Day! Join fellow runners, walkers, and our fans for a 5K race designed for all of University City to enjoy! After the race, cool down and indulge in a post-race mini feast featuring food, drinks, games, and music.
The University City Turkey Trot features a 5K run/walk, a one mile fun run for kids of all ages, and a costume contest for all those young at heart. Prizes are awarded for the top three male and female participants overall and first and second place finishers in each age category. Three prizes are awarded for the costume contest. In addition to all that fun, participants are encouraged to take part in our annual food drive by bringing a non-perishable item to support those who are less fortunate in our community. Our awesome Turkey tee shirt and our medal are always a hit! Please register by November 6, 2024 by 12PM to ensure you get that awesome medal and tee shirt. Avoid disappointment and register today! Any extra inventory will be distributed on a first come/first served basis upon request.

The University City Turkey Trot benefits patients and families affected by this hereditary illness.
Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas was established in 2009. Our mission is simple: we seek to provide a network of support for patients and families affected by Sickle Cell Anemia; to raise awareness and educate the community; and to advocate for a cure.
